Lymphatic Massage

Lymphatic massage is applied using a very light touch, with a specific protocol, to stimulate the lymphatic system.

Lymphatic Massage has many benefits, including helping with: regulating the nervous system (parasympathetic nervous system activation is where healing happens), digestion, headaches + migraines, muscle pain, tinnitus + vertigo, muscle spasm, fatigue, stress, immunity, fibromyalgia, sleep and much more!

One thing of particular note is that it helps process trauma.  Anytime an individual has something stressful happen that is beyond their capacity or ability to cope – the body will store that emotion. The body is our emotional backpack.  There are chemical responses that correspond with our emotions.  Those chemicals get stored until we feel safe and have the capacity and support to process/metabolize those emotions.  As we hold those emotions, muscles tense to “hold” the emotions for us.  Over time, this creates compensation patterns, tension patterns, reduced function of muscles – and leads to potential injury.  The body will view that stored emotional pain (that is likely now physical pain) as an injury (which it likely is) and the immune system has an inflammatory response to it to “protect” us from that pain.  Over time, chronic inflammation (among other things as well) leads to autoimmune issues.

That being said, it is important to take care of our emotional, mental and spiritual health right along with our physical health.  One way to do that is to address it in the body.  This is done by prioritizing safety, support and attunement.  Lymphatic Massage, Alchemize Pain Massage, and Trauma Wellness Massage are all ways we can do that in my office.

My intention is for my presence to be a safe space, my office to be a safe space, and to support healing with massage, nervous system regulation, empathy, attunement and resources.  Please know that if you are wanting support in these areas, I am here. You are not alone.  My own experience with complex trauma has led me down many paths of healing, and I feel called to share and support others.
