A consistent practice of utilizing self care tools leads to sustainable health and wellness. It helps to improve: muscle flexibility/function, joint range of motion, posture alignment, helps prevent injury and speed injury recovery – due to strengthening the body’s resilience.

Here are the steps:

  1. Decrease Pain
  2. Interrupt the pattern that is reinforcing the pain/spasm/pain cycle
  3. Create new pattern that supports proper posture alignment, healthy flexibility, and pain free joint mobility/range of motion.

This requires a plan that addresses specific patterns for an individual, that is consistently practiced, and that may need to be altered over time as the individual heals and deeper patterns reveal themselves.
The service of education is personalized and includes a customized plan of action with time to practice each step. The information may include: self myofascial release targeted to areas of concern, how to target muscle versus fascia, specific stretches, neuromuscular re-education techniques and breathwork. It also includes information about how to engage and relax the nervous system to maximize healing, how the pain/spasm/pain cycle works, how the brain and body communicate about pain and how to manage/decrease pain signals.

This service can be booked before or after a massage session or in between massage visits.
